Amanda Mason Photography has an extensively diverse portfolio specializing in Dance, Event, Family, Food, Portrait, Sports, Stage and Travel/Landscape photography. Amanda is a collaborative partner who focuses on her client’s needs in order to deliver quality photography that captures the moments.
Based in Gilbert, Arizona, I’m the mother of 2 children, a wife and an entrepreneur. I fell into photography by accident when I started a food blogging business, Recipes Worth Repeating, back in 2012. That’s where I first fell in love with photography. As a food blogger, I had to learn how to take appealing and professional food photos, so I jumped in head first and learned the ins and outs. From there, Amanda Mason Photography, the business, was born. Food companies began to hire me to photograph and write recipes of their brands.
From there, I started learning everything I could about photography, cameras, and lenses. As a mother of a dancer, I immediately fell in love with dance photography and started photographing dancers of all dance styles. My experience includes shooting on-stage performances, such as The Nutcracker, competitions, and recitals. I’m also a mother to a son who is a natural little athlete and I’ve been able to provide sports photography to soccer associations and martial arts facilities.
I’m privileged to also be a freelance photographer for The Phoenix New Times. I photograph food and drink events throughout the valley, such as the 2018 ameriCAN Canned Craft Beer Fest and the Nirvana Food and Wine Festival. My work has also been published online.
I have a growing passion for photography. I thoroughly love capturing the beautiful things in life. I believe that my photography is a record of your living and I want to create images for you that make special memories and tell a story.
